I finally stopped.
You’ve seen the signs, especially if you’ve ever driven through central Missouri. Probably more than once. Possibly several times. But have you ever stopped and taken the tour at Meramec Caverns?
Located off Route 66 in Stanton, Missouri - just southwest of St. Louis - the caverns feature a 4.6-mile long cave system (1.25 walkable), amazing views of ancient rock formations, stalactites, and stalagmites, and a cool 60-degree temperatures year-round. Tours take about 1h 20m and are WELL WORTH the $28 price of admission (adults).
I saw the signs for years. I’m glad I finally stopped in.
